Senior Oracle Applications DBA

Tier1 is looking for an experienced Oracle Applications DBA to join its fast growing Remote Support Services organization. This DBA will work as part of a team responsible for providing remote support to Tier1's customers across the US. This candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience installing, implementing, maintaining and supporting production and non-production Oracle Applications (E-Business Suite) environments. Additional skills required:

  • Proven experience in administration and management in a large Oracle Applications environment consisting of a three-tier architecture including database, concurrent manager, forms tiers with Oracle version 9.2.x and E-Business Suite version 11i and R12
  • Substantial Oracle Database Administration technical expertise with solid background in Oracle as well as Oracle/3rd party tool administration, monitoring, development, and backup/recovery
  • 7x24 production support experience
  • Experience managing Oracle TAR escalation procedures
  • Significant expertise in applying patches and cloning environments
  • Solid in Linux, Unix and scripting
  • Effective communication skills are critical, both written and oral
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure to resolve critical real time production problems
  • Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, code and instance tuning and debugging
  • Experience with backup/recovery support and administrative practices
  • Energetic and self motivated team player with ability to work effectively and cooperatively with project and infrastructure teams
